Vintage amethyst purple and clear crystal riviere necklace - Art Deco or possibly earlier (Edwardian or 1920s). A Georgian style necklace, beautifully designed with intricate links alternating purple and clear stones. This is a really unusual style and arrangement of stones that I haven't seen before. The necklace has lovely large sized oval amethyst purple crystal rhinestones, bezel set in open-backed silver settings, connected by silver double links, each with a round clear rhinestone, also bezel set in silver tone. It fastens with a spring ring clasp.

The necklace has a choker length of 16 inches, so please check neck measurements carefully. I can add a length of extension chain if required, so please message me if this is needed. The white metal is not stamped but could well be unmarked sterling silver - untested as yet. The reverse of the settings holding the purple stones has beautiful chasing / engraving, which is a mark of quality and indicates also that it may be silver. It is in very good vintage condition. I have included as a free gift, a pair of modern crystal stud earrings, with similar clear crystal rhinestones set in silver tone. They are for pierced ears and fasten with a screw on back.
